Baja Sol Tortilla Grill's initial investment requirements will vary greatly. However, the Baja Sol Tortilla Grill model allows for attractive returns, due to the low level of investment needed to open an individual unit. Initial Franchise Fee
Baja Sol Tortilla Grill's franchise fee is $25,000. This Franchise Fee covers the cost of providing you with business open-ing assistance and support in development. The term of the agreement is ten (10) years, with additional ten (10) year renewal opportunity.
Investment
The total initial investment is estimated to range from $166,000 to $400,000. This does not include real estate costs, as it is assumed that the Baja Sol Tortilla Grill will be located in leased space, either in a strip shopping center or a mall food court. The actual investment will depend upon a number of factors, including market conditions, the size and condition of the space, the monies, if any, that may be received from a landlord for leasehold improvements, whether some equipment is purchased "used", local costs of construction, and the amount of signage used. A unit franchisee should have at least $100,000 in liquid funds available for investment as well as the ability to obtain bank financing and/or equipment lease financing for the balance needed. Financing is not provided by Baja Sol Franchising, Inc.
Continuing Royalty
The continuing royalty fee is 4.5% of your restaurant's net sales.
Marketing Fee/Local Advertising
A Marketing Fee of 1% of gross sales will be due when total franchise units reach 20 stores. This Marketing Fee will allow you to utilize all creative materials generated by Baja Sol Franchising. As a franchisee you will be required to spend a minimum of 3% of your net sales on local promotion and advertising each month. If you share an advertising area in common with other franchisees, you may be required to contribute to cooperative advertising, which will be credited against your Local Advertising requirements.
Area Developers
Developers seeking multiple Baja Sol Tortilla Grill locations may execute a Territorial Development Agreement. Each Territory Developer will be required to put a down payment on the franchise fees for future units to be developed and agree with Baja Sol Franchising on a schedule of development for those restaurants.
Baja Sol Tortilla Grill's organization is designed to assist you with everything you need to capitalize on a proven track record of success within the "fresh-Mexican" fast-casual dining segment. Our franchisees have access to a wealth of information from site selection criteria to marketing materials. We recognize the need for affordable development through leasing small space property in existing strip centers or malls; which is why Baja Sol Tortilla Grill uses substantially less square feet of space than traditional free standing quick-service outlets, and even many other "fast-casual" concepts. The result is lower up front investment costs and lower breakeven points.
